Last night a friend I haven’t seen in over a year told me the best bloco de carnaval (a moving street party of sorts) in Rio is going to start at 7am today. Since I haven’t seen her in so long, and since I’m vacationing in Rio and want to get a decent carnaval experience, I figured I’d wake up at 6 and see if she sent me any more info. It’s 6am, I crawl out of bed, no info in my inbox. This must have been a practical joke… 7am party? I’m going back to bed.
